Autumn beckons and we await the first fungal fruitings! In the meantime, the FFSC Culinary Committee welcomes you to celebrate the season with our annual Fall Mushroom Dinner.  Chef Bob Wynn and the Chair Margaret Carpenter are cooking up a scrumptious menu for the evening. We’ll start with a celebratory cocktail and hors d’oeuvres. Salad, Chicken Ricotta Roulade, Farro-Porcini Risotto and Roasted Fall Vegetables will be featured for the main course. Dinner will come to a sweet ending with Candy Cap Apple Crisp & Cream. Mmmmmm...

Admission

  • FFSC member admission $20 advance, $25 at door
  • Guest admission $30 advance, $35 at door
  • Advance sales closed 10/7/16. Tickets available at the door.

Fall is coming up — shall we celebrate a new, season, and may it please be a wet one? Chef Bob Wynn, Forager-in-Chief Sue Labiste and the FFSC Culinary committee are cooking up a truly wild event this year featuring foraged foods. Wild mushrooms will be complemented by an array of indigenous foods, thanks to our intrepid foragers, preppers and planners Bob, Sue, Fred Molnar, Cat Gunderson, Bill and Annie Lang,  Margaret Carpenter and Debbie Johnson. Be sure to sign up early, as these dinners usually sell out. Mushrooms Gone Wild Cooking Class with Eric Carter (by )

The new class schedule for Let's Cook! is out, and founder/owner Patricia Poritzky has organized a class on mushroom cookery led by Eric Carter of the Cabrillo College Culinary Program and Sesnon House. Those of you who were lucky enough to enjoy Eric's fabulous food at the Fungus Fair After-Hours Supper can return for more, and those of us who missed out completely have another chance! Please note that this is not a FFSC-sponsored event; we thought you'd like to know about it.
