Let's Find Mushrooms
Hello, I've recently been getting into mushrooms and found this group and am very excited to see and learn more here! Most the discussion I see on here is north of the Monterey area but I was wondering if people had favorite places to go in Monterey or the Big Sur area?
I would love to find edible mushrooms like golden chanterelles but the few times I have gone out looking I have come up blank, so any advise on where I should go looking would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Calland

Let's Find Mushrooms
In Mendocino, they had had a bit of rain and we found great conditions. In December we were seeing some strange fruitings. Masutake were out in force and we found plenty of hedgehogs. Yellow trumpets and black trumpets were out but still early. Same for chantrelles.
Lots of mushrooms to keep all of us happy.
