LearnMushrooms: we find them all over. They are ubiquitous and mysterious, common and rare, delicious and sometimes deadly. Please join us for our General Meeting at the Harvey West Scout House. A surprise for this month: we'll start with an informal potluck on the picnic tables outside the Scout House at 6. Feel free to bring a dish to share. If your dish contains mushrooms, thanks for keeping to the Suggested Species List. Doors open at 7, with refreshments and informal mushroom ID from 7:00 - 7:30. A discussion of upcoming events will precede our speaker, Dr. Dennis Desjardin, Professor of Biology, San Francisco State University.

This unique Santa Cruz tradition features three days of fantastic fun, informative speakers and demonstrations, with fungal activities for the whole family. Initiated by David Arora in 1973, this year's fair represents 41 years of keeping the "fun" in fungi. Join the fun!

Enjoy an amazing multi-course mushroom and wine feast with a group of like-minded fungiphiles.
Lucky attendees will sample appetizers and have small-scale guided tours of the displays in a more intimate, less crowded atmosphere.
We had a great turn-out for the FFSC Foray last Saturday, December 20th! The group ended up leaving Marshall Fields and headed toward the UCSC campus to hunt, where we were greeted with (to name just a few) Amanita mucarias, Candy Caps, Blewits, Laccaria bicolor and amethysteo-occidentalis, Death Caps, Honey Mushrooms, and Lactarius rubrilacteus by the bucket-loads. It was a great time with great people, and great fungi!
