There will be a local foray for new members (and old members) this coming Sunday, Jan 26, 2020.
This foray is to welcome new members to the club, but experienced members are also needed to share their knowledge and camaraderie. The foray will take place around the North (upper) part of the UC Santa Cruz campus open space. The foray should last approximately from 9:30 am to 1:00pm.
To sign up, follow this link https://forms.gle/ZBwY4uaij9JRaX8p8 and submit the form. In a day or two you will receive a confirmation email with more detailed information on the exact meeting place and time. Please only sign up if you plan to attend, since the group size will be limited.
Emphasis will be on finding, and identifying fungus and on habitat, but most of this area does allow collecting so you can bring your collection basket if you wish. Be prepared to walk a couple of miles and be ready for cold and or wet weather.
