Greetings Fungus Friends,

The recent rains have brought out a bunch of new mushrooms after our dry winter.  I  encourage everyone to get out and check your favorite spots.  New, old, and prospective club members are invited to come out and see what is coming up around the upper UC campus and openspace.  Rain is predicted for Saturday, but that should not deter the mushrooms  or hardier mushroom hunters.  We will be meeting at 9:30 am at the far end of the North remote lot.

Emphasis will be on finding and identifying fungus, but most of  this area does allow collecting so you can bring you basket if you wish.   Be prepared to walk a couple of miles and be ready for cold and or wet weather.
