Greetings Fungus Friends,

There will be a local foray this coming Saturday to welcome our new members in 2018.  Everyone is invited to come out and see what treasures the recent rains have produced.  Emphasis  will be on introducing new members to the club, but experienced members are also needed to share their knowledge and camaraderie.  The Foray will take place around the North (upper) part of the UC Santa Cruz campus open space.  The foray should last approximately from 9:30 am to noon.

Emphasis will be on finding and identifying fungus, but most of  this area does allow collecting so you can bring you basket if you wish.   Be prepared to walk a couple of miles and be ready for cold and or wet weather.
