Well, the rains have arrived, so let's get together to survey our local fields and forests. This will be a habitat walk, concentrating on learning about some of the local trees and the best places to look for different species as the season progresses.
To request to join this foray, please fill out this form . In a couple of days you will receive a confirmation email with more detailed information on the exact meeting place and time. Please only sign up if you plan to attend, since the group size will be limited.
This foray is open to all members of the FFSC and anyone else with an interest in fungus who might be interested in joining the club. Experienced members are encouraged to come and share their knowledge with newer fungifiles.
Emphasis will be on on habitat and identifying any fungus we may find, but this area does allow collecting so you can bring your collection basket if you wish. Be prepared to walk a couple of miles and perhaps get a bit muddy from the recent rains.
