Please join us for our General Meeting at the Harvey West Scout House.  Doors open at 7, with refreshments and informal mushroom ID from 7:00 - 7:30.  A discussion of upcoming events will precede our speaker, Dr. Tom Volk, long-time FFSC favorite and featured speaker at this year's Fungus Fair. At the general meeting Tom will enlighten us about  The Seven Deadly Sins Committed by Fungi. In the meantime, check out his outstanding and informative web site, Tom Volk's Fungi. Find fungi on display in a re-created woodland habitat. This unique Santa Cruz tradition features three days of fantastic fun, informative speakers and demonstrations, with fungal activities for the whole family. Initiated by David Arora in 1973, this year's fair represents 42 years of keeping the "fun" in fungi. Join the fun!

Next up on the Fair circuit is the Pt. Reyes Fungus Fair on Jan. 2 and 3. Saturday is a group effort (skilled and unskilled, young and old, local and far-flung) of Pt. Reyes/West Marin mushroom collection and ID, Sunday is the set-up and the Fair. It's FREE, it's fun, and the fungi have arrived!
