November 2022 General Meeting - Will Goss "Psilocybin Decriminalization and Legalization""

Please join us for our November 16hh meeting at the Harvey West Scout House. 

The evening will start at 6:30 pm for those who would like to socialize, snack on Bob Wynn's fantastic spread and chat with fellow mycophiles before the main meeting. Bring any fungi you have been lucky enough to find for identification! Business and announcements will start at 7:00 pm. After the business part of the meeting, we will be joined by Will Goss, our speaker for the evening.

"William ‘Mycelium’ Goss has studied, researched, foraged, and cultivated fungi for over 15 years. He graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Plant Genetics and Breeding, and a minor in Mycology. William was grower supervisor and water systems operator for Monterey Mushrooms at North America's largest organic mushroom farm. Later, he worked for MycoWorks, a startup involved in disrupting the conventional material industry with a new brand of mycelium leather. William joined the Decriminalize California board of directors in 2019 and started working for the CA Psilocybin Initiative campaign full-time. William’s efforts supporting Decriminalize Nature Santa Cruz and Washington D.C. landed him episode 4 of How to Change Your Mind. He continues to advocate for psilocybin policy reform, speak at conferences around the country, and work on new scientific discoveries in the mushroom industry.
