You should carefully study the schedule of talks and demo's to decide which days and times you would like to attend.  Early mornings or late afternoons tend to have smaller crowds. "Time entry" tickets are good for the rest of the day after you have gotten your hand stamp.

Why buy an advanced ticket?

Buy a General Admission "timed entry" ticket to get faster entry and avoid waiting in the cash/credit card line. Buy Talk tickets to guarantee that you do not miss your favorite speakers. You should buy a "timed entry" ticket for a time slot at least 30 minutes before any talks you plan to attend.

Advanced Tickets: Detailed Explanation

When you arrive at the fair entrance you must present your ticket in order to get an entry hand stamp to show that you have paid. Children under 12 are free so they don't need an advanced entry ticket.

Room 3 talks will require purchase of an additional ticket for each talk you want to hear. Talks are free for children under 12, but they still will require a separate (free) ticket since seating and room capacity are limited. You should plan on arriving at the fair no later than 30 minutes before talk time so you can redeem your ticket for a door card to get you into the talk.
