Local Foray in Santa Cruz (by )

? WHEN: 11/19/2022, 9 am - 12 pm
? WHERE: Santa Cruz

Well, we have had a bit more rain, so let's get together to survey our local fields and forests. This will be a habitat walk, concentrating on learning about some of the local trees and the best places to look for different species as the season progresses. We may also come across a few edibles.

To help the club defray some of our  costs such as insurance, speaker fees, facility rental, etc, there will be a modest fee for non-club members to come on the foray.  The price will be $10 for adults, $5 for students, and $0 for children 12 and under and FFSC members.

Experienced members are encouraged to come and share their knowledge with newer fungifiles.

If you do not receive an e-mail confirmation, please be sure to check your spam or trash folder.

The number of tickets will be limited, so sign up soon.  But please don't purchase tickets if you do not plan to attend, and no large groups.  FFSC members wishing to attend should read the "Members-only information"  for instructions on signing up.

Emphasis will be on on habitat and identifying any fungus we may find, but this area does allow collecting so you can bring your collection basket if you wish. Be prepared to walk a couple of miles and perhaps get a bit muddy from the recent rains.

Please contact me  if you have any questions, or have trouble accessing the sign-up form.
