2022 Suds & Shrooms Picnic - Cheers! (by Debbie Johnson)

After a two-year hiatus, the Central Coast Zymergeeks and the Fungus Federation are again sponsoring our much-loved Suds and ‘Shrooms Potluck Picnic. Cheers! Come join us at this lovely outdoor event. 

Chef Bob Wynn is dreaming up some wonderful mushroom delicacies to celebrate spring. The fantastic cooks of FFSC will bring their best to share, too. You definitely don't want to miss this one!

This is a great time to gather, enjoy the season and the usual array of great food that our excellent FFSC cooks provide. Bring a lot, as we are feeding the brew group as well! There will be a fire ready in the barbie if you'd like to grill something. What's more, you'll have the opportunity to sample some fine, award-winning beers made by the excellent zymergists (brewers) with the Zymergeeks. It is springtime, so there will undoubtedly be talks of morel hunts, past or future depending upon snowmelt! If you want to know more about the art of brewing, the Zymergeeks are extremely knowledgeable and can certainly address your questions. Asking brewers how their beer was crafted will be greeted with enthusiasm and a detailed procedure.

We will be asking that participants make a donation to a "tip jar" at the event to help us defray costs for the park rental. Not having had a Fungus Fair for two years has impacted our club finances significantly. We appreciate your support and contributions, both financial and personal.
