2021 October General Meeting: Todd Spanier-Fungiaolo

The session will be opened at 6:30 pm for those who would like to socialize and chat with fellow mycophiles before the main meeting, which will start at 7:00 pm. There will also be a tasting of Porcini Polenta, but only for those who attend in person.

Todd started his obsession with foraging wild mushrooms at the early age of five through the guidance of his Italian grandfather aka Nonno ”Ed Marcellini”. The obsession for foraging wild mushrooms quickly became a
passion. In 1996 Todd founded Re Dei Funghi aka King of Mushrooms, which has become one of the bay area's leading mushroom purveyors to gourmet grocery stores and top chefs. Together with his wife Cristina, they are happy to celebrate their 25 years of business with King of Mushrooms.
